I'll be the first to break the ice here. smile

Greetings, Salutations, and the works!

I am known as Aiyane on the Facebook Anime Collector's Galore Page. I made the page over a month ago due to not finding any sort of page dedicated strickly to collectors. It has now blossomed very nicely and has attracted some really cool people. I hope to have the same thing happen here. biggrin

A little about me. I'm turning 26 in less then a week, been into Anime for almost 17 years, and have a large collection of Anime DVDs and Manga. Other things I like are movies, animals, video games, books, music, and cooking.

I look forward to chatting with you all and if you have any questions/concerns don't hesistate to contact me. ^^

Hey Aiyane... This is Jason L. :).

I've been into Anime since I was a kid, but didn't buy or watch anything for decades it seems. I started buying anime again almost a year ago.

I'm 38 and just graduated with my PhD biggrin . I also record my own music ( http://www.myspace.com/thecorruptingsea ), used to be a world known record reviewer and band interviewer, and, yes, I was once a roadie. Oh, and I love reading!

thanks for setting up the page!!!

Howdy, this is Chris(tian) from FB.
I'm 35 and a retail pricing manager. I'm relatively new compared to most when it comes to anime and collecting. My ex introduced me to anime in 2007 when she happened to bring over Vandread and Ruroni Kenshin TV. Thanks to the internet, I quickly started finding a lot of interesting titles I liked, watching a lot of anime off of Veoh at the time... and then in 2008 beginning to buy titles and create my collection.

Permanently stopped at the railroad crossing of life...

Hi, my name is Alli, and I'm a 21 year old Elementary Education student. I stumbled across the collectors page on facebook and saw the link for this forum. I'm pretty new to the world of anime. As a kid I loved Digimon, Pokemon and Sailor Moon, but I only recently got back into it when a friend introduced me to Yu Yu Hakusho a few months ago.

Konichiwa and hajimemashite!
Hey it's me Justin S from our fun loving FB page. I hope everyone's doing all right and kudos to the lovely lady (whom we know by her alias: Aiyane) for all the great work on building this great community!

A little about me, I'm 26 (27 in July) and I've been an anime fan since I was about 4-6 years old, when my dad would rent Robotech on VHS for me and my older brother. I started collecting anime back in junior high (when VHS tapes with 2 episodes would run about $35.99 - $42.99 CDN) with classics like New Dominion Tank Police, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, Macross Plus and Patlabor 1 & 2. Now fast-forward past the lull in DVD purchases (when a box set of Slayers would cost $165.99 CDN), and you arrive at a blooming collection and great friendships through anime!

Besides anime, I love Manga, Video Games, reading and listening to the "Soothing sounds of Utada"!

I look forward to meeting more great people in this great extension of ACGP!
Kanpai!

Kaitlyn P. from Facebook, present! Might as well jump in here with the intros.
I'm currently 16 turning 17 in September, and I've been into anime and manga since about 2007-2008. The craze began when I got lost in a Barnes & Nobel and discovered a particular section of books, including the Astro Boy series I'd loved as a kid. I started collecting manga from then on. <3 My anime collection came not too much later, starting with the first part of Ouran High School Host Club. My other interests include video games (preferably dating sim types and RPGs), cosplay, and various dramas (crime, Japanese, Korean, etc). Oh, and obsessively editing my forum posts. /dork

It's nice to meet you all, and I can't wait to see how far this group comes! \o/

Howdy everybody!

This is Jonathan Kuchta from the Anime Collector's Galore Page!
Now to tell you a little about myself. I'm 21 turning 22 in October of this year! I currently work in the post production field. Basically what the company I work for does is rent out editing equipment for movies and TV shows. If watch shows on Fox, ABC, or CBS chances are you've seen a show we've worked on.

Anyway, I'm still attending a Community College and don't quite know what I want to do in life. I've studied the Culinary Arts, Welding, Photography, Animation, Electronics, and will soon be taking EMT certification classes... Yeah, I haven't the slightest Idea what I want to do, even considered joining the Navy (still on the table). At least I have a job to support my Anime addiction!

As for how I got interested in anime well, that all started with DBZ and Pokemon... From there I met a guy at my dads work who introduced me to other shows (Kenshin, Ninja Scroll, etc) and things took off from there! I started watching all the anime I could on TV, be it on Toonami, Tech TV, SciFi or what have you. Not long after that I discovered I could find anime online, and that was really really cool... I didn't know it was illegal at that point but I now know better! I only started buying anime and manga in the past two years, since that's pretty much when I got a steady job. I've already got a shelf two DVD lengths deep of anime and manga, and the way things are going I'll need two more shelfs by the end of the year!

Thats about it! If you have any question about me or what not feel free to ask! It's nice meeting you all~
Peace Out~~~

hi!! samantha vera from facebook

im 11 years old (12 in november) and ive been watching anime since i was three,my first anime was sailor moon.ive been an otaku for a long time biggrin i watch anime all the time online via hulu and if i like a series i try my best to buy it but its sortof hard if you only get $5 a week tongue but i always buy my manga. i watch anime all the time instead of the stuff on T.V. because most of the stuff on T.V. sucks and most anime is actually interesting and has a good storyline. i prefer the subs most of the time for my anime.

im doing very well in school and im in advanced. i love reading, cooking and anime. my favorite color is BLACK. i think i have an emo attitude or something like that. i love japanese music even though i cant understand it.

well thats all about me. sorry if my introduction was not well done or somthing. nice meeting you guys! bye!!

'ello there, fellow collectors! Aikiku here to brighten your day! Or, worsen it if you're really unlucky. Moving on~

Like everyone else here, I'm an otaku. I suppose you can say I've been one since I was a little toddler depending on diapers, but I've been aware of what anime actually is since I was nine.

It all began with a lovely anime called Digimon. After moving from the dazzling sunshine state to where I am now, I had found myself unable to watch what I believed was a cartoon. Struck with horrifying grief, I struggled to find a way to achieve my goal of watching digital monsters brawl to the death. Since the internet is such a godly tool, I decided to use it to locate some fancy smancy site to watch it on. And what do you know? I not only learn about Youtube, but anime as well! And I've been into it ever since, watching other things like Sailor Moon, Fullmetal Alchemist, and more. I also eventually got into manga, though I don't read it as much as I should.

Aside from anime, I'm into video games (RPG especially), voice-overs, occasional cosplays, and stalking you. :3

Hope to have some fun with you guys~
